In 1995 we had just adopted our cat Fluffy from the animal hospital. After having her for a couple years, we decided we wanted to get another kitty to accompany her.

We went back to the animal hospital to see the cats that were up for adoption. After looking that day we decided to wait a little longer to get another. We were preferably looking for a black cat because we heard they didn't get adopted as much.

A couple days later I was with a family friend and mentioned we were looking for a black cat. It just so happened she had been working at a vet and as they were going to euthanize a young male black cat, she asked to take him. She had planned on keeping him but he didn't get along with her dogs. He ended up being kept in a cage for a while as she was looking for a home for him. When she told us we immediately said we would take him!

He was scared at first, and would hide all the tim, but eventually warmed up to us, especially me. Now i couldn't imagine my life without him. He is the sweetest cat and I love him so much. He is now 18 years old and in good health and to think he wouldn't of lived past a year! I am grateful everyday that his life was saved!
