Patches loves the world that comes to life outdoors with the coming of warmer weather, sun-filled days and the end of snowfalls.
Patches is a two-year-old mini-Calico beauty and only weighs six pounds. My nickname for her is Tiny Heiny or Peanut.
She spends many hours moving around the house from window to window, and screened views, to watch the many varieties of animal life outside.
When we are here on Long Island, she watches the birds, squirrels, wild rabbits, pigeons, and occasionally a hawk, that visit our backyard, the numerous fountains and water sources, and the birdfeeder. When we are in our Florida home (she loves to watch the world go by while we drive down), she is crazy for the little lizards that proliferate the outdoor world.
Patches has an eight-year-old Chiweenie brother and a fifteen-year-old Maine Coon tabby mix sister that also enjoy sharing summer with her. She loves the days when it's cool enough to turn off the A/C and open the windows. In Florida, she loves the screened patio. Doesn't like the house closed up for winter at all!
