i grew up with cats, but Shadow became my heart cat! My sister and I went to Mt Lassen and camped at a campground.

The hostess told us that, of the many cats we saw, most would not survive the harsh winter. Near the restroom, there were several cats playing. Most of them ignored us, but one kitten followed when we called 'Kitty, Kitty.'

Every day when we came back after sightseeing, this kitten would come running to us. It slept on me. its sharp little claws making biscuits on my body.

Shadow came home with us! He was diabetic but made NO complaint about insulin shots. He travelled with me to Anchorage, AK several times when I visited my sister.

I will always have cats, but Shadow has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge, where I am sure he waits for me. Of my many cats, he chose me!
