Spicy' Cat Was Returned After Being Bullied By Other Cat, Now He's Seeking a Real Forever Home

Okay, we aren't going to shy away from the fact that this boy can be called "Snotty Scotty" for a few reasons!

Now usually, pointing out the purrsonality traits that have caused a kitty to get returned from his adoptive home is not where you would think we would start Scotty's story. However, Scotty needs to have his truth be known so that he can find the right home and family for him, as he has been waiting all too long for that to happen.

Now, it is important to understand that DNA can affect cattitudes and behavior. Scotty does things that his body tells him to do, like have his own territory, hence wanting to be an only pet. Coming from a litter of kittens born in someone's yard that his mother had determined was safe enough, his linage carries the need for space, which equals safety.

He also carries the street male spice DNA that makes him feel that he needs to be the top cat, which explains why even though he comes from a litter of four, he doesn't carry the need to be with his sisters.

Scotty came to The Cat House on the Kings in March of 2022, and he has weathered the usual kitten colds, vaccines, treatments, and travels as a part of his journey with us. He needs to find his spot in the heart of someone who can love him with his spice, his biological force, and his truths, just as much as we do!

It may seem like we are trying to talk everyone out of adopting Scotty, but that couldn't be further from the truth! We want the best life for Scotty and for his adoptive family, so we are revealing his truths up front so that he won't have to go through being adopted and returned again. We don't want to add to his "Snotty" list, because he truly is a love bug with people! Here's his adoption bio:

Scotty is a fun, spunky and loving one-year-old boy who is looking for his forever family. He loves to play and chase feather toys. He will even carry the toys around the room. He loves cat treats and all types of wet food, and he wants a home that will be happy to feed him wet food twice a day, which is great for urinary health in male cats.

He will follow you around and chat at you for attention. When he is all done playing, he enjoys being pet and being brushed. He can play rough, so a home without young children would be best. Scotty also needs a home where he can be the center of attention, so a home without any other pets would be ideal.

He was adopted and returned through no fault of his own; he was being bullied by the resident cat and we don't want to take a chance that could happen again to our sweet boy. Could Scotty be the purrfect addition to your family? Apply to adopt him here!
