Tweak is approximately three years old and very dainty. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She has been around dogs but has never lived with other cats.

She is very sweet and friendly and is a total lap cat. She does not like being picked up, but she will jump onto you every time you sit down — or even while you are sleeping. She is extremely playful and has tons of energy. This is one of the sweetest, cutest, easiest-to-love cats I have ever met, and I have met hundreds.

Recently, Tweak began vomiting on the carpet after eating, about twice a week for a month. Her owner decided to take away her canned Blue Buffalo food and feed her only dry Blue Buffalo food instead of taking her to the veterinarian. She was convinced the canned food was making Tweak sick.

Tweak was very unhappy with the change and lost a lot of weight. She is currently underweight but still seems healthy and active.

Around the same time, her owner discovered that Tweak had suddenly begun urinating behind the litter box occasionally. She said the litter box was too difficult to keep clean, so she purchased an automatic litter box that rakes away the dirty litter whenever the cat exits.

The automatic box frightened Tweak at first, and she sometimes chooses other places to urinate.

At this point, her owner is unwilling to take Tweak to the veterinarian to rule out an illness and is more concerned that her carpets are being ruined. She says that from now on, she will have to keep Tweak in the bathroom whenever she is not home until she can find her another home.

Her owner is gone for 10 hours every weekday for work and goes out most weekends. She no longer wants to be a pet owner.

I understand that you receive many emails asking for help, but please help Tweak. Her owner has given my friend until the end of November to find her a home. I have tried every rescue group I know of without any luck.

The owner has agreed to allow me to rehome Tweak. This cat does not deserve to be sold on Craigslist again.
