Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue saves large horses who have been mostly used for hard labor and then discarded or brought to auction with kill buyers when they could no longer perform.

These gentle giants have given so much and deserve to spend the rest of their lives on green pastures. Caring for these large horses takes a lot of money.

Thanks to your generous donations, the horses received vital vaccinations and supplies like anti-inflammatory cream called Surpass.

The caretakers said, "Many of the horses in our care are seniors or arrive with a history of hard use, neglect, or untreated injuries. Joint pain and inflammation are common challenges, and managing that discomfort is essential to maintaining both physical health and emotional well-being. Surpass has become an invaluable part of our daily care routine."

The horses can move freely to graze, nap in the sun, and walk around the pasture with their buddies. "Because of you, our Gentle Giants can move through their days with greater ease, comfort, and joy."

But that's not all.

The money saved on vet bills was used to build four run-in sheds for the horses. The shelters not only provide a safe place to get out of the harsh weather but also provide security to senior and mistreated horses.

The rescue shared, "For senior horses, horses with medical needs, and those still recovering from past neglect, having the ability to self-regulate their comfort is invaluable. The shelters also promote natural herd behavior, allowing horses to rest, socialize, and move freely without stress or confinement."

This just goes to show that your support has improved the well-being of horses in multiple ways. They are forever grateful and so are their caretakers.

"It allowed us to stretch every dollar further, ensuring that our rescued horses not only remain healthy, but also live with dignity, safety, and comfort. We are deeply grateful for this support and for the lasting impact it continues to have on our Gentle Giants."

Donate today to help more rescued horses get the care and supplies they need to survive and thrive.
