Meet Dashka.

The sweet feline found herself in the middle of the war zone in Ukraine. The repeated bombings near her home endangered her life. Everything around her was being destroyed and she was left to fend for herself.

Thankfully, she was found by Ukraine military members who took her in and cared for her. They made sure she was safe and had enough to eat. She offered them comfort through soft purrs and snuggles.

As the frontline continues to move, it became too dangerous for Dashka to remain where she was. The team wanted their furry friend to find a loving home and contacted a rescue for help.

A volunteer woman took the feline in her arms and walked for hours to get her to safety. The rescue told us, "What is remarkable is that Dashka calmly rode in her arms the entire long journey without a carrier. She was just sleeping."

Dashka is now adjusting to her new surroundings at Patron Pet Center. She will be examined by a vet, vaccinated, and spayed (if not already) and then placed up for adoption.

She is one of hundreds of cats that arrive at the center looking for sanctuary and a second chance. The center receives evacuated animals daily and needs your support to care for them all.

Iryna, Director of Patron Pet Center, told us that is costs hundreds of dollars to feed, care, and rehabilitate each animal that comes through their doors. The center has an amazing adoption rate and finds homes for the dogs and cats in other countries like Germany and Spain.

Donate now to help evacuate animals and care for them until they find a forever home.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
