Hysterical Video Captured of a Horse in a Car at a McDonald's Drive-Thru in New South Wales

Just when you think you've seen it all you haven't — that is, unless you're used to seeing horses roll up to fast-food drive-thrus in hopes of getting ice cream. Apparently, that was the case in New South Wales, Australia, where a small white horse was seen sitting in the backseat of a car waiting at a local McDonald's drive-thru.

We All Scream for Ice Cream

According to Boing Boing, Rocco the horse was in the mood for a scoop or two of ice cream, so he and his crew pulled through the McDonald's drive-thru for a cone, as one does during warm summer temps. That's right, the seasons are reversed south of the Equator, and our Aussie friends experience summer during what are traditionally our winter months.

Funny Videos

When another customer waiting in line at the restaurant saw the animal, they couldn't help commenting, "There's a horse in your car," to which the vehicle's occupant laughingly replied, "He's excited for his ice cream." The commenter, Donna Bivins, filmed the funny exchange and posted the original to TikTok, noting that she first thought it was a large white dog in the car's backseat and that you just can't make this stuff up. "Only in Australia," she added.

Horsing Around

The best part of the entire exchange comes after the horse's chauffeur dishes on the reason for the visit, and Rocco seemingly shakes his head in agreement. It's that gleeful up-and-down head nod given so enthusiastically that makes the entire episode so comical. If you'd like to watch the interaction yourself, you can check it out on the YouTube video below, which was released by ABC 7 Chicago.

One of their newscasters made the shrewd observation that this didn't appear to be Rocco's first time to the drive-thru rodeo, and we have to agree. He seems far too calm and relaxed to be a newbie to this type of excursion — McDonald's or otherwise.
