When police and rescuers arrived at the scene of a breeding farm, they witnessed the unimaginable. The filth, suffering, and disease was heartbreaking.
Of the 80 dogs rescued, our partner at Under the Sun Animal Shelter, Krystina Drahomaretska, took in 54 dogs.
Many are infested with parasites, suffering from untreated illnesses and injuries, and covered in matted fur. Others are fighting for their lives as they battle deadly infections like pyometra.
Large dogs are struggling to walk due to muscle atrophy from years in a tiny cage. Ultrasounds showed that some of the dogs have dead puppies in their wombs. These dogs have endured so much pain and suffering and need your support to heal.
At the clinic, veterinarians are assessing each dog’s condition. While some dogs have already stabilized, others remain under close watch as they gain strength and continue treatment.
