While we're all cheering our favorite football teams on during the big game, hundreds of thousands of pets in shelters around the country are waiting for their next meal.

Food is one of the most vital needs for animal shelters and their most significant expense. Unfortunately, more money spent on food means less funding for other life-saving programs for the animals in their care. Already strapped for resources, shelters and rescues across the country face uncertainty. We're here to help fill that gap, ensuring animals waiting for their forever homes always have a full belly.

Together with the Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good Charities created the Shelter Bowl to celebrate the big football game and raise awareness and funds for shelters.

Meet the Team Dog MVPs

Hopper, Danny, Doodle & Nikki
Staff from Henryetta Animal Aid were driving down a lonely stretch of highway when they saw these four adorable puppies tagging along with a group of adult strays. When they pulled over all the dogs came over for some pets, but rescuers were only able to catch the puppies. The pups were covered in ticks and had swollen bellies from worms. Rescuers are certain they would not have lasted long if they hadn't been caught. Thanks to generous food donations and the dedicated staff at Henryetta Animal Aid, Hopper, Danny, Doodle, and Nikki not only survived, they're thriving!

Coco
When Coco's owner died, this distinguished gentleman joined the Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation family, living out his golden years with about 50 other senior dogs on sprawling farm. While he may look like a tired, old man at times, Coco has some pep in his step after he's had a good meal. We can help Coco enjoy his retirement among friends by keeping him well fed.
