Flight to Freedom Is Giving Over 40 Shelter Pets the Best Gift Ever - A Second Chance

The Animal Rescue Site is 24! We are not celebrating with balloons, cake, or a party but instead with a Flight to Freedom that will save the lives of dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters.

On July 21, over 40 dogs and cats at shelters in Florida and Alabama will be gifted a one-way ticket to New Jersey or New Hampshire to find a loving home. It is the best and only gift we want for every shelter animal.

It is a gift that keeps on giving because it will not only save the animal on the flight but will also allow the shelter to save another.

Dogs like Lupin and kittens like Cardinal and Emu are just a few of the pet passengers eagerly waiting to board the flight. Meet them and a couple more below.

The three-year-old Cur mix loves everyone, and they love him right back. His caretakers shared, "he approaches every single day with the kind of wholehearted, uninhibited joy that makes you want to cancel all your plans and just spend the entire day with him. Because honestly? There is nowhere better to be. This boy is super playful and brings that infectious, boundless energy to everyone lucky enough to be in his orbit — especially kids and other dogs."

He will make you laugh until your sides hurt and is "pure sunshine in dog form." He loves water, playing, and living life to the fullest. All he needs now is a family of his own.

These adorable three-month-old siblings are the perfect mix of kitten chaos and entertainment. Their current foster family shared, "Cardinal and Emu are everything great kitten energy looks like — rambunctious, fearless, playful, and completely devoted to squeezing every last drop of fun out of every single moment. They chase. They pounce. They wrestle. They zoom. And then they find the sunniest spot in the house and collapse together in the most perfect little pile of kitten sweetness you have ever witnessed."

They are ready to find a loving home and are sure to find one in New Hampshire.

Snoopy

The two-year-old beagle mix lives up to his name. He LOVES everyone he meets, including children and other dogs. Affection and cuddles are his love language. His current shelter said, "Snoopy is a total gentleman on the leash — he walks beautifully and makes every single outing feel like a leisurely stroll with your very best friend. He is fully housebroken, wonderfully dog friendly, and greets every canine companion he meets with that classic Beagle warmth and easy going spirit that makes him an absolute joy in any setting. And water? Snoopy is absolutely here for it. Whether it is a splash through a puddle or a full on water day adventure, this boy embraces it with the kind of enthusiastic joy that is impossible not to love completely."

Snoopy is ready to find his special someone.

Eva and Wall-E

What's not to love about these gray tabby kittens. According to their shelter, "Just like their namesakes, these two bring something completely special to every room they enter — curiosity, wonder, and a kind of pure innocent joy that makes the whole world feel a little softer and a little brighter. Eva — sleek, beautiful, and undoubtedly the sophisticated one of the pair. Wall-E — scrappy, earnest, and absolutely certain that everything around him is the most fascinating thing he has ever seen. Together they are completely unstoppable. Two months old, full of kitten mischief, and already making everyone around them fall completely in love — these two grey tabby babies are writing the opening scenes of what is going to be a truly wonderful story."

They are ready to entertain, love, and cherish their new family.

Winston

The terrier mix is ready to experience unconditional love in a home of his own. With his good manner, good looks, and sweet personality he will be the perfect companion to anyone. His caretakers told us, "This handsome young man has that signature Terrier charm — bold, bright, and bursting with the kind of personality that fills a room the moment he walks into it. At just 1 year old Winston is right in the sweet spot — past the tiniest puppy days and stepping fully into the confident, playful, loving dog he is becoming. He has his whole beautiful life ahead of him and he is ready — truly ready — to share every single moment of it with a forever family who will cherish him completely."
