Amanda Seyfried Heartbroken Over Death of Beloved Dog Finn
Andrea Powell
Actress Amanda Seyfried is a lifelong animal lover and advocate who has a rescue farm with her husband, Thomas Sadoski, and two kids in New York. The haven is home to over 40 animals, including horses, goats, chickens, rescued cats, and her "soulmate" adopted dog Finn.
The beloved Australian shepherd mix was often seen on set with Seyfried and posted regularly on her social media, showing their unbreakable bond to the world. Finn was loved by many with his own Instagram page with over 65,000 followers.

As all dog owners know, the hardest part about owning a dog is saying goodbye. It is a pain and grief that is hard to put into words. Though their time with us is never long enough, the love they leave behind lasts forever.
Finn passed away recently at the age of 16. Seyfried posted a photo of her hugging Finn and wrote, "This one’s forever and ever."

Seyfried is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Finn - a loyal friend who shared countless moments by her side and captured the hearts of so many along the way.
In a 2024 interview with People Seyfried recalled, "I had struggled with a lot of anxiety and I have OCD, and my twenties were just hard in general, like anybody’s twenties are hard, so I think he grounded me in a way that nothing else could have."

On Finn's 16th birthday she wrote, "My sweet boy has stuck with me for the sweetest 16 years and counting. Finn’s brought all the love, warmth and total presence a girl could only dream of…"

Finn will never be forgotten. Countless friends and fans left comments sending their condolences. Fellow actress Sarah Paulson wrote, "Oh Amanda. I’m sending you so much love ❤️🩹❤️🩹 How lucky you were to have each other."

Author, Annie Hartnett, said, "Thank you for sharing that perfect dog with the rest of us ❤️."

We would like to thank her for adopting and being a voice for the voiceless. We are so sorry for her loss. Run free, sweet Finn.
