Firefighters Chisel Through Wall To Rescue Cat Who Does Not Appear Grateful
Cats are notorious for their curiosity and getting themselves trapped in difficult spaces. While most felines are relieved when they are rescued from a high tree or small space, one calico cat does not look happy to have been found.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a call about a cat trapped in a wall. They wrote, "Between a wall and a hard place - literally! Our crews from Preston safely rescued this curious cat from their tight squeeze earlier this week."
They carefully chiseled through a wall to free the cat and everyone is "safe and sound". However, the rescued cat does not seem pleased.
A photo of the proud firefighter, CM Friar, holding the saved cat has gone viral due to the cat's ungrateful expression.
The scowling feline is making the day of people around the world who cannot resist commenting on the photo. One person tried to explain why she thought the cat looked so angry, "That cat was winning at hide and seek until you pulled her out, the look says it all."
Another added, "if gratitude had a face it wouldn’t be this kitty cat".
Firefighters know that her family is happy she was rescued, even if she is not. They also received praise from fans for their patience and courage with many noticing the thick gloves that Friar was wearing in the photo.
The fire department concluded the post by saying, "Cats always like to keep us on our toes."
