Sick and injured animals continue to arrive at shelters in need of emergency care, but most shelters are overcrowded and underfunded. They need our help to save lives.
With your support, we are conducting our 3rd Annual Paws in Peril Care-A-Thon. The week-long campaign will help severely neglected, injured, and sick animals get the emergency care they need to survive and thrive.
Cats like Cookie.

The seven-year-old black cat was brought to a local shelter in Philadelphia after someone found her with severe burns covering her body.

She was microchipped and the shelter reached out to the owner, but they said she ran away a couple months ago, and they no longer wanted her.
The sweet feline was at risk of euthanasia but thankfully was saved by Cat Tales. Her medical care will be expensive, and they need your support to save her.

The rescue told us, "Due to Cookie's burns, one of her triceps was too far damaged and as a result the leg needs to be amputated. While doing that, the surgeon will surgically close up the large burn wounds on her back and torso."
She is currently on antibiotics and pain medication while she waits for surgery. Even though she has suffered immensely, she remains a "purring machine" that loves attention.

According to her caretakers, "Cookie has already endured more than any kitty should—she was discarded, suffered horrific burns, will lose her leg, needs a dental due to a bad mouth, and is FIV+… and yet, through it all, she remains the absolute sweetest little soul."
Donate now to help her heal and get the second chance she deserves.
