Sick and injured animals continue to arrive at shelters around the world in need of emergency care, but most shelters are overcrowded and underfunded. They need our help to save lives.

With your support, we are conducting our 3rd Annual Paws in Peril Care-A-Thon. The week-long campaign will help severely neglected, injured, and sick animals get the emergency care they need to survive and thrive.

Cats like Kiki.

This stray feline was cruelly shot with a pellet gun and found on the side of the road unable to move.

She was carefully picked up by a passerby and taken to a local animal hospital. The medical team discovered her front leg is shattered by the bullet, which is still lodged in her body.

An X-ray shows a severely broken humerus and extensive damage that cannot be repaired. Kiki now requires leg amputation.

Despite all the pain and suffering she has experienced, she remains a friendly and loving cat. Her caretakers told us, "With surgery, medication, and recovery time, she has a real chance at a pain-free life in a loving home."

Donate today to help Kiki heal and restore her faith in mankind.
