Hurricane Helene devastated towns and destroyed countless homes when it made its way across the Southeast at the end of September.

Thanks to your support, Greater Good Charities conducted several evacuation flights that rescued shelter dogs and cats from hard-hit areas and brought them to states out of the storm's path.

A cat named Cheeto was on one of the lucky passengers on one of the flights out of Tennessee. When she arrived at Lucky Dog Animal Rescue she fell ill with pneumonia.

They didn't know if she would survive - but she did.

"We put her on oxygen treatment, heavy antibiotics, and constant monitoring. What seemed to help a lot was sitting and petting her," shared her caretakers.

Cheeto is a fighter and continued to improve. She has made a full recovery.

The good news doesn't end there. The shelter told us that sweet Cheeto has found her forever home.

She is just one of dozens of animals you helped save after the catastrophic hurricane. Thank you for your continued support
