Clear the Shelters "Shatters" Adoption Records With Nearly 170,000 Animals Finding Homes
The nationwide pet adoption campaign by NBCUniversal, Clear the Shelters, has "shattered" adoption records with this year's 10th anniversary campaign that ended in September.
Thanks to your support of our Clear the Shelters flight and thousands of people stepping up to adopt, nearly 170,000 shelter animals have found loving homes.
Dogs like Bluey, a beagle mix, who was adopted and returned to the shelter due to no fault of his own finally found a family to love. The loyal companion adores kids and other dogs. He is so happy to be in a home and surrounded by people who love him.
Animal shelters and rescues nationwide reduced their adoption fees to help homeless animals of all ages and sizes find a forever home. Overcrowded has become the new normal at shelters, so campaigns like this are vital in saving lives.

Greater Good Charities, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and WeRescue sponsored the campaign and with all the generous donations were able to raise $500,000 to continue to support the participating 1,600 shelters and rescues. Way to go!
Thank you for your continued support.
Sadly, thousands of animals are still waiting in shelters for someone to love. Please consider adopting or fostering to help overwhelmed shelters and save lives.
