Dogs are the most loyal companions and just want to be near their humans. When abandoned by the people who are supposed to love and care for them, they are left to wonder why their family left and often wait for them to return. 

It is so heartbreaking.

A young dog abandoned at a gas station in Ukraine took a different approach. Instead of waiting for her people to return, she approached each customer with a wagging tail and hope in her eyes that they would rescue her.

Each car that pulled in was another chance, but many drove away and her search continued. 

She wasn't deterred by the number of people who passed her by and kept up with her gentle begging. She was determined to find someone to love and someone who would love her and her feline companion. 

Their luck changed because our hero, Krystina, stopped at the gas station on the way home from a rescue mission. The staff told her that the dog and cat were left at the gas station and needed help. 

The friendly dog put her front paws up on Krystina and wouldn't let go. The cat found curled up by the door also quickly warmed up to Krystina who softly caressed her head. They both left with her and returned to Under the Sun. 

Both are under two years old and super affectionate and friendly. They just want what all shelter animals want - a loving home of their own. Despite being abandoned, they still have faith in humans.
