Nepal Street Dog Hit By A Car And Found Limping Around In Pain Needs Your Help To Heal

Update:

Thanks to your generous donations Khaire received the surgery and care he needed. Greater Good Charities shared, "Now, Khaire is healthy and adjusting to life as a tripawd! He's in search of a loving forever home, but remains a beacon of vitality and joy at the shelter, warming the hearts of all who cross his path. 🐶
Each wag of Khaire's tail proves that your donations really do save lives and create stories of resilience."

There are tens of thousands of stray dogs in Nepal who are looking for food and shelter and someone to love. Sadly, many are injured and in need of medical care like Khaire.

Sneha's Care, a local animal rescue, has been caring and saving street dogs since 2015. Their goal is for all animals to be treated humanely and to end animal abuse. They told us, "The life of a community dog is extremely harsh. And it is an absolutely heart-wrenching situation to witness a community dog being hit by a car and having to live with an untreated injury."

Khaire lived on the crowded streets of Nepal and was seen limping around with a severe wound after being hit by a car. The 5-year-old dog lived in pain for weeks before someone contacted the rescue about him.

The exposed wound on his front leg continued to get worse, so the only option was to amputate the leg. He is doing well and under the care of loving people who change his bandages daily and provide the medicine he needs. While he is getting the care he needs, the bills continue to pile up.

His prognosis is good with a recovery time of two months; however, he needs your help to cover the cost of surgery and ongoing care during recovery.

The rescue reached out to Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund for help with his medical bills. The fund was created to give stray and shelter pets the medical care they need so they can have a second chance at finding a loving home.

Help us meet our goal of $1,500 to care for Khaire. Your support will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover the ongoing care and food he will need.

Despite his injuries, he is always eager to greet people with a wagging tail.

He has won the hearts of his caretakers who shared, "He has a gentle demeanor that puts people at ease, and he loves nothing more than to spend time with his caretakers who are taking care of his wound dressings and feeding. Khaire is a true joy to be around, and we pray for his speedy recovery."
