Meet Maggie

The one-year-old doodle mix wandered up to a home in a rural area pregnant and in need of help. She arrived as a stray at Save A Pet Rescue Adoption and Transport after rescuers looked and failed to locate her owner.

Shortly after arriving at her medical foster home, she gave birth to eleven puppies. Ten survived and Maggie immediately took on the role of a loving mama. Everything seemed to be going well.

A couple of weeks later Maggie started acting lethargic, stopped eating, and her temperature spiked to 105.3 degrees. She was rushed to a local animal hospital for treatment.

She had a life-threatening uterine infection and received emergency surgery to save her life. She survived the surgery and is starting to recover, but her medical bills are adding up.

Her puppies are eagerly waiting for her return and are being bottle fed while they wait for their mom to come home.
