Meet Misio. 

This poor dog was rescued from a war zone in Ukraine with a large wound on his left hind leg. He arrived at a shelter in Poland to finally get the care he needs to heal.

The staff believe the wound is from a surgery to remove a tumor that never healed properly.

Misio was in pain and continued to lick the irritated area causing even more problems. 

He is now in a protective cone to prevent him from licking his leg and a medicated dressing is being applied daily. The rescue shared, "A wound culture and blood tests were performed to tailor the most effective medications for his recovery."

He still has a long road to recovery but with your support should make a full recovery. 

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with his ongoing medical bills. Together, we can help save the lives of animals like Misio.

Misio (which means teddy bear in Polish) is a friendly and energetic dog who deserves to run and play without pain. He remains a gentle and loving boy even through all the pain and suffering. He needs your support to get the care he needs to heal. 

His caretakers said, "Misio is a special dog with a brave heart, but he needs help to fully recover and live the life he deserves."
