Meet Niels

This handsome German shepherd arrived at People for Pets as a puppy who was unable to run and play without pain.

X-rays revealed that Niels' hips appear to be that of a 10-year-old dog. He needs total hip replacement surgery to be able to move and play as a puppy should.

With surgery, his prognosis of living a long and active life is good. Will you help him get the care he needs?

The sweet fella waits at the shelter for his second chance but needs your support. He is deemed not adoptable due to his limited mobility. Every step he takes is painful.

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with his treatment but needs your continued support. The fund helps dogs like Niels get the surgery and care they need before finding a forever home.

Niels recovery will be long and slow, but after three months of restricted activity and pain medication he should be able to move without pain. Help this young dog live the active life he was meant to have by donating towards his care

Help us meet our goal of $8,000 for Niels and pets like him. Your gift will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover his ongoing care.
