Do you remember the adorable newborn foal named Saffron? We asked for your support to cover her medical bills to give her a fighting chance to survive - and you stepped up in a big way.

Saffron is a fighter and not only survived but is thriving, thanks in part to your generous donations. Her road to recovery was long and involved a lot of dedicated people who cared for her day and night.

Her malnourished mother had a difficult time giving birth to her and was unable to produce milk. Saffron was fighting to survive and needed urgent and constant care. 

She was started on plasma, IV support, foster mare's colostrum and milk, and medications. She slowly started to improve and gain her strength. 

She took comfort in a large pink teddy bear called Strawberry until she was healthy enough to be around other horses. 

Months later, she is thriving and racing around the pasture, as foals should. Her mother is also getting the care she needs at a foster farm. 

The energetic filly spends her days playing with another foal named Julep and her foster horse mama, Betty Boop.

Your donations gave her a second chance, and she is not wasting a minute of it. She has stolen the hearts of her caretakers and is the first to greet you at the gate.
