Shelter Cat Passengers on Recent Flight to Freedom Find Loving Home Together
Andrea Powell
Two kittens recently made the flight of their lives — quite literally. Pulled from an overcrowded shelter and flown to Wisconsin, these two went from squeezed-in kennel life to a loving home faster than they could say meow.
On June 2, two kittens named Sunny and Cloud joined dozens of other shelter pets from overcrowded shelters in Louisiana on a Flight to Freedom. They were loaded on the plane in the early morning hours in pet carriers and a couple hours later arrived in Wisconsin.

They were greeted by friendly volunteers who helped transport them back to their new shelter. It didn't take long for the adorable and playful kittens to find a loving home. Sunny and Cloud were paired with other kittens during transport, but won the heart of the same adopter.

So, they were adopted together and are living their best lives.

Flight to Freedom gave them what the shelter couldn't — a way out and a way forward- and a family in Wisconsin gave them everything else. Your donations made this possible, so thank you!

Thanks to your support, countless shelter animals are getting the second chance they deserve to find a loving home. Dogs and cats at overcrowded shelters are flown to states with open kennels and adopters waiting to meet them.
