Flight to Freedom Update: Howl-O-Ween Passengers Are Thriving At New Shelter
Andrea Powell
Do you remember sweet Tinker Belle and Hattie Mae from our Howl-O-Ween Flight to Freedom? These adorable dogs were given a second chance thanks to your generous donations.
They left overcrowded shelters where they were passed by and at risk due to lack of resources and adopters and flew to Wisconsin for a fresh start along with seventy other dogs and cats.

The flight was a huge success where some of the animals quickly found forever homes. Others like Tinker Belle and Hattie Mae are still waiting for their special someone. In the meantime, they are thriving at their new shelter making new dog friends and living life to the fullest.

For Hattie Mae that means lounging in the doggie pool or the shade on a hot day or any activity outside. Her caretakers said she is a little shy at first but quickly warms up. She gets along with dogs of all energy levels and likes making new friends.

The three-year-old even posed in a bee costume hoping to attract adopters, like a bee to honey.

Tinker Belle is happiest playing and running to her heart's delight outside. She makes friends quickly, including other animals. She is missing one eye but that doesn't slow her down.

A photo of her dressed as a pirate, showcases her goofy personality and leaning into her unique look.

Nothing but wagging tails and good times. These lifesaving monthly flights wouldn't be possible without your continued support. Sadly, many shelters are overcrowded and underfunded. Some must make difficult decisions unless they can find homes for the dogs and cats. Help fly more shelter pets to freedom on our next flight by donating here.
