Florida Shelter Dog Found Her Person And Isn't Letting Her Out of Her Sight, Even To Fill Out Adoption Papers

There is a day that all shelter dog's dream of - the day they finally meet their person. For a shelter dog named Luna at Walton County Animal Services it happened on January 13.

The American bulldog mix estimated to be 1-2 years old arrived as a stray and was put on a three-day hold to see if her owners would come for her. They posted her photo to Facebook to make sure no one was looking for her. No one came to claim her, so the sweet pup was put up for adoption.

She didn't have to wait long to find her person, just 11 days. A woman arrived at the shelter looking to adopt a new friend and chose Luna.

Luna couldn't contain her excitement and continuously wagged her tail as her mom filled out the adoption papers. She has found her person, and she isn't letting her out of her sight. A video taken by a shelter employee shows just how proud and happy Luna is to have found a forever home.

In the video Luna is seen with her paws on the arm of her new mom's chair watching as she crossed the t's and dots the i's on her adoption papers.

The video was posted on the shelter's TikTok page and has been viewed over 2 million times. Viewers were quick to add in the comments what they thought Luna was thinking.

@cassiep724 wrote, "Looking around like 'sorry, folks I’m taken.'" @jay.baby.01 added, "'Dont forget to sign the next page mom' congrats luna girl".

"She’s so proud, 'yep, this is my momma'," stated @charleyhorses.
