Tens of thousands of people have evacuated the devastating wildfires in Southern California that have destroyed over 15,000 structures and claimed the lives of at least 28 people.
New fires continue to ignite due to the bone-dry conditions and strong Santa Ana winds. Hours after the first fire started, Greater Good Charities (GGC) was on the ground providing essential supplies and pet food to displaced residents.

The need for help and supplies has only grown. Thanks to your support, countless people and pets are getting the support they need.

Good Packs filled with hygiene supplies, socks, as well as first aid kits, flashlights, and blankets were distributed to grateful evacuees.

Emergency pet packs which included items like a leash and collar were given to people with pets along with a bag of pet food.

One woman told GGC staff member Dave Pauli just how much the bag of dog food meant to her. At the Hollywood Park distribution she shared that she lost her husband last year and it was just her and her dog. She took her beloved dog and evacuated when told to do so but was in need of supplies to get her through this tough time.

A bag of dog food made all the difference. The 40-pound bag of dog food gave her peace of mind that her dog would have food for at least two weeks, and that meant the world to her.
