A construction site is no place for newborn kittens, especially one without a mother around. Four-week-old kittens were discovered at a site with one in critical condition with his hind legs wrapped in wire.

This orange tabby named Gusty was rescued along with his siblings and brought to Friends of the Metro Animal Shelters for emergency care. Thanks to your donations, they were able to provide formula to the newborn kittens and special care they need to grow big and strong.

Gusty and his siblings are in foster care and doing well. The shelter told us, "With proper care, love, and vital nutrients from KMR formula generously provided by The Animal Rescue Site, he began his journey to recovery. In just 48 hours, Gusty went from barely hanging on to eating with much more energy and showing incredible signs of improvement. While he still has some healing ahead of him, Gusty is making great progress every day. If all continues to go well, this little fighter will be ready for his forever home in the next month or two."

It is officially kitten season at shelters which means that they are seeing an influx of orphaned kittens in need of formula and vital care to survive. You can help save more lives by donating formula, bottles, and other essential supplies to shelters.
