Matted Dog Rescued From War Zone Transforms Into Playful Pup After Proper Care
Meet Zeus.
He is a survivor. He was found malnourished and covered in matted fur in a destroyed village in Ukraine.
Zeus arrived at the Patron Pet Center in need of grooming, nutritious food, and love. He found all three - thanks in part to your generous donations.
The caring staff carefully shaved off Zeus' matted fur and gave him a warm bath before showing him to a quiet kennel.
In addition to eating nutritious meals to regain his strength and health, he was vaccinated, neutered, and received dental care. The friendly fella showed his gratitude with a wagging tail and endless kisses.
His true personality started to shine once he started to feel better and he quickly became a staff favorite. While he was showered with love and affection, he was still in search of a forever home.
Patron Pet Center is happy to share that Zeus has found his person and is living his best life.
Thanks to your continued support, dogs and cats rescued from the frontlines are getting the care they need to heal and find forever homes.
Evacuated animals continue to arrive at the center in need of care. Iryna, Director of Patron Pet Center, told us that is costs hundreds of dollars to feed, care, and rehabilitate each animal that comes through their doors. The center has an amazing adoption rate and finds homes for the dogs and cats in other countries like Germany and Spain.
Donate now to help evacuate animals and care for them until they find a forever home.
