Senior Dog Becomes Resident at Horse and Hound Rescue After Owner Passes
Andrea Powell
Rascal and his two sisters found themselves without a home after their owner passed. Thankfully, Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation stepped up to take them in and found homes for the two female canines.
The senior boy also found his forever home at the ranch. He fit in so well with the other senior resident dogs that they decided to add him to the pack.
Rascal now spends his days resting in the sun, devouring tasty treats (thanks to your donations), and snuggling up to staff and volunteers.

He also enjoys being around the off-track Thoroughbred horses who are being rehabilitated on the 50-acre ranch. He loves to help spread the word about the rescue by posing for photos for social media, especially when treats are involved.
The sweet boy even shares the delicious treats with his friends, even though he would love to eat the entire bag himself.

His caretakers told us, "Rascal is a calm, salt-and-pepper–faced boy who is easygoing and brings a sense of comfort to everyone he meets. You can sit with him, give him a few pets, and feel instantly more relaxed. He may be a Rascal by name, but he’s really here to fix worries, not cause them. Whether he’s hanging out in the barn, following a volunteer around, or posing for the camera, Rascal is happiest when treats are involved."

Rascal and all the other senior dogs send their thanks for the soft treats, supplements, and supplies that your donations are providing. It is enhancing their golden years, and they are so grateful for the support.
Provide support to more senior shelter dogs by donating here. They deserve to feel their best while they wait for a forever home.
