Shelter Dog Paisley Gets the Wiggles on Adoption Day
Andrea Powell
Two-year-old pit bull mix named Paisley has had a rough start to life. She was bred repeatedly before arriving at a rural shelter where she was constantly passed by. She dreamed of a day when she would be chosen.
Humane Society of Broward County took her in and allowed her friendly personality to shine, which resulted in her finding her special someone.

Paisley was beyond excited when the day came for her to leave the shelter for good. Her tail started wagging and then her entire body started to wiggle. In a video shared by the shelter, she darts out of the doors pulling the staff member along and heads straight to her new mom.

Check out the video.
@humanebroward Paisley was adopted!! 🙌❤️ And she wiggled all the way home 🥹 We couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl and her new mom! This adorable 2-year-old came to us after being overlooked at a rural shelter and spending much of her life being used for breeding. Through it all, she never stopped being gentle, loving, and full of joy. All Paisley wanted was someone to love, some belly rubs, and a family to finally call her own. And now, she has exactly that. 🥰 A huge thank you to @dollys_dream_ for covering her fee and sending her home with goodies and to Paisley’s new family for giving this deserving girl the fresh start she has always deserved. We know she is going to be so spoiled and so loved. ❤️ Paisley is also heartworm positive, and her new family is giving her the chance to heal while surrounded by love. Thanks to them, and with treatment provided by the shelter, she has such a bright future ahead. 💕 While we’re celebrating Paisley’s new beginning, so many other wonderful pets are still waiting for theirs. Paisley tested positive for heartworm disease, but her new family is working with the shelter to make sure she gets the treatment she needs and recover.

Her days will now be filled with belly rubs, toys, and all the love and care she deserves. This is the day all shelter pets dream about. While her caretakers are thrilled for Paisley, they ask people to consider adopting and giving another dog or cat the best day of their lives.
