Shelter Dog Cannot Control Her Excitement Over Finding A Home On The Last Day Of The Year
On the last day of the year, most people are jotting down their New Year's resolutions and preparing to ring in the next year with friends and family - but for a four-year-old shelter dog named Perla it turned out to be the best day of her life.
Perla has been patiently waiting at the Humane Society of Broward County for a loving home where she would be spoiled as the only pet. On December 31, her wish came true and an "I'm adopted" sticker was placed on her kennel.
The playful pup loves toys and life, and it is obvious by her full body wiggles. Her happiness is contagious and who could resist that adorable smile?!
The year ended the best way possible for sweet Perla.
Staff shared a video on TikTok of Perla leaving her kennel for the last time and sprinting to meet her dad in her Christmas best. They wrote, "She was so happy, she jumped right up and smothered her new dad with kisses. What a way to end the year!"
Her patience has paid off and she knows that 2024 will be the best year yet. If you are still adding to your resolutions, consider adopting or fostering a shelter pet and help save lives.
While she couldn't be happier to have found her happily ever after, she would love her pals to find homes too. Check out all the adoptable pets here.
