Starving Senior Dog Dumped at Spokane Park Watched As Owner Drove Away

Dogs are the most loyal companions and just want to remain by your side their entire lives. Sadly, not all humans are as loyal to their dogs.
A heartbreaking story about a starving senior dog abandoned in a park in Washington has animal lovers outraged. The malnourished old dog was dumped in Valley Mission Park and watched as his careless owner drove off.
His hip bones were protruding from his emaciated body when he was discovered by a man who witnessed the entire betrayal. The dog was found drinking out of a toilet bowl by Jacob Garrett.
He told NonStop Local News, "I was immediately appalled by how emaciated he was. He was too skinny and he had a tumor hanging off of him. I honestly began to cry and I walked out looking for the owner."
When he realized that the owner was not coming back, he called Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) for help. Garrett decided to call the dog "Grayson" due to his gray muzzle. He shared with police that he saw a man get out with the dog from a 2005-2009 model White Cadillac SRX.
Officials are still looking for the person responsible and shared surveillance photos of the white SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call SCRAPS at (509) 477-2532, option 2 (refer to case 90651).
Grayson is in a foster home and slowly regaining weight. SCRAPS posted photos of him and an update, "He’s gaining weight, getting stronger, and showing us more of his goofy personality every day!"
