EEK! Halloween is less than a week away. If you are like me, you still need to decide what you and your furry pal are going as this year.

No costume looks bad on a dog, but only if they are ok with wearing one. Remember, stress doesn’t look good on anyone.

A bandana, bow or sweater are always simple choices that work in a pinch or for pets that are not fans of full costumes.

Trending themes for both people and pets this year are characters from Beetlejuice, Deadpool, and celebrity couples.

Still not inspired?! No worries. The classics are always a good choice – like ghost, witch, dinosaur.

Couple costumes are not just for humans. Here are a few popular ideas that you and your pet can sport for a spooktacular good time.

  • Barbie and Ken
  • The Royals
  • Sonny and Cher
  • Devil and angel
  • Mario and Luigi

The list could go on and on. However, if you are wanting something original think about your favorite song, movie, or book and draw inspiration from that.

You will need to be crafty if you want to save some money and get a one-of-a-kind look. Personally, I think designing the costume is part of the fun.

So, where do you begin? Look in your closet and around your home to see what you already have to make a costume. Next, check out YouTube which is a great resource with how-to videos galore.
