Three litters of puppies have endured more than any animal ever should. They were born in a war zone in Ukraine and managed to survive until Krystina, owner of Under the Sun Shelter, rescued them.

Sadly, they must continue to fight to survive. The puppies were diagnosed with the highly contagious and deadly canine parvovirus. It attacks the puppy's white blood cells and intestines causing them to be severely lethargic, loss of appetite, vomiting, and bloody diarrhea.

Parvovirus progresses fast, so immediate and intense veterinary care involving IV fluids and anti-nausea meds are their only chance at survival as their fragile immune systems battle the virus.

Krystina rushed the sick puppies to the clinic where they are receiving fluids and even blood transfusions from healthy dogs.

She is caring for them around the clock, but despite all her efforts and care, several have passed away in her arms.

While heartbroken for the ones that didn't make it, she is determined to save the dozen that have survived this far. Every minute matters as these puppies continue to fight to survive.

You can help by donating towards their care and give them a fighting chance. Hope is not lost.
