Scorched Dog Found Near Raging Eaton Wildfire Needs Your Help to Heal
Hours after the Eaton Fire ignited in California, animals started to arrive at Pasadena Humane in need of help.
The shelter has taken in over 400 animals in the past week with several needing medical care. With your support, Greater Good Charities is helping fund the medical care for the injured and burned animals.
One of the first dogs to arrive was a husky mix (who we are calling Boo) who was found in Altadena. The sweet fella arrived with singed fur and burns on all his paws, which made it painful to walk.
He was covered in ash, dehydrated, and his eyes were irritated from all the smoke. The shelter reported, "Our veterinary team is treating him with medication and fluids and his condition is currently stable. In spite of all he has been through, he is the sweetest boy. He perks up when he hears people talking to him and leans into anyone who gives him attention."
All the lost pets taken in by the shelter are posted here to help reunite them with their families.
Pasadena Humane is at ground zero of the Eaton Fire animal welfare response effort. They are working tirelessly to save every lost and injured pet that comes through their doors, to take in pets that owners are forced to surrender after losing their homes, and to reconnect lost pets with their families. We are in awe of their heroism and honored to support them.
Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund provides grants to animals in life-threatening situations and saves lives.
Donate now to help Boo and animals like him get the care they need to heal and hopefully be reunited with their loved ones.
