Meet Ebony

She was suffering in silence at an overcrowded Alabama shelter with an untreated leg injury until her luck finally changed.

The three-year-old dog was picked as one of the pet passengers on a Flight to Freedom. These monthly Good Flights sponsored by The Animal Rescue Site save countless at-risk shelter pets at overcrowded shelters and flies them to shelters with open kennels for a second chance. These life-saving flights are possible thanks to your support.

Ebony got a fresh start in Wisconsin and was welcomed by staff at her new shelter, Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County (HAWS).

They immediately noticed her limping and had her examined by a veterinarian. X-rays found that she is suffering from damage to her knee and joints and needs surgery for her best chance of walking without pain.

Ebony remains a sweet and friendly dog despite all the pain she is in. She has a long and expensive journey ahead and needs our support.

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund was contacted to help with her medical bills. Together, we can help Ebony get the care she needs to heal and go on to find her forever home.

She will need months of physical therapy following surgery to regain the strength and motion in her leg. Help us raise $5,800 for her care. Donate today.
