Stray Kitten Needs Surgery to Save Her Broken Leg from Amputation
Andrea Powell
Update:
Nugget made a full recovery from surgery, thanks in part to your support. The little feline is doing well and the shelter shared, "We are happy to say that Nugget's surgery was a success and after some recuperation, Nugget thrived and was adopted to her forever home."
Thank you for your support!
Meet Nugget.
This tiny kitten arrived as a stray at a no-kill shelter in Indiana with a severe injury to her hind leg.

X-rays revealed that she has a distal femoral fracture, most likely due to trauma. The recommendation was to amputate the leg, but the shelter obtained a second opinion from another vet who said that with surgery the leg could be saved.

Nugget is unable to run, play, and cause ruckus as kittens should. She adores attention and is the sweetest little thing.
Will you help her get the treatment she needs to heal?

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is assisting with her medical bills but can't do it without your support. The fund helps sick and injured animals get the life-changing care that gives them the second chance they deserve.
Donate now to help tiny Nugget. The surgery will allow her to walk, run, and play without pain and live a long and happy life. She will need weeks of close monitoring after surgery to ensure her leg heals properly.

Nugget has her whole life ahead of her and just needs your help to heal. Every dollar helps. Read her update above.
