This will be the hardest winter yet in Ukraine as repeated attacks on the country's energy infrastructure leave more homes and shelters without power, heat, and water.
According to NPR, the relentless bombings have damaged or destroyed over half of Ukraine's energy-generating capacity just as temperatures drop below freezing. Plant employees work tirelessly to repair and restore power.

Many animal shelters are operating out of makeshift facilities that have been impacted by the war and are lacking consistent access to heat and power. Homeless dogs and cats cannot survive out in the cold and need our help.
Ways You Can Help

Help us provide 100 insulated outdoor kennels to shelters and save lives. These kennels will allow dogs to get out of the life-threatening cold and have a safe place to rest.

With your support, Greater Good Charities is stepping up to help by working with local organizations to provide outdoor dog kennels filled with straw as insulation to house homeless dogs. The wooden kennels are easy assembled and provide the warmth and comfort the dogs deserve.

Volunteers continue to enter the war zone to evacuate animals and bring them to safety at nearby shelters. The terrified animals are found in destroyed villages and would freeze or starve to death if not rescued.

Blankets are needed for both cats and dogs and provide both warmth and security.

Many evacuated animals arrive malnourished and starving. They have been left on their own to survive in a war zone and haven't had a good meal in a long time. Help provide food to these innocent animals.

Shelters are caring for hundreds of animals that have been through so much and need our help to stay warm and safe this winter. Together, we can make a difference.
