Black Dog Animal Rescue (BDAR) is Wyoming's largest rescue. We are working together to ensure a better future for the pets and people of Wyoming. The mission of Black Dog Animal Rescue is to promote, provide, and advocate for the needs of companion animals. Our adoption program is foster-home based, which means that all of our adoptable animals live off-site with a volunteer foster family. Each year, approximately 500 pets find forever homes through BDAR. We also operate a monthly Empty Dish Pet Food Pantry to help households experiencing financial hardship feed their cats and/or dogs. In addition to our adoption program, BDAR has a partnership with the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution. We send adoptable dogs that need a little help with obedience training for a nine-week stay with an inmate handler. This program offers the shared opportunity for redemption and recovery for both the dog and the handler. Since 2015, 300+ dogs have graduated from this program.Every vote counts - thank you so much for being involved! Follow us on Instagram @bdarwy or on Facebook.
