Hoopeston Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a registered 501c3NFP, all volunteer, open-admission, no-kill animal shelter located in Hoopeston (Vermilion County) in the state of Illinois. HART owns the shelter facility at 901 West Main Street, Hoopeston, IL. Our mission is to provide a safe environment for lost, abandoned, sick and injured animals.We work in cooperation with our community and other animal agencies to ensure animals receive the love and the medical care necessary to enjoy a high quality of life. We also educate animal owners an the general public about proper pet care, reunite pets with families, and prevent cruelty to animals. Most importantly, we seek to place homeless animals in responsible, loving "forever homes". HART believes that every pet matters! Despite having cared for over 1300 animals since 2013, HART has maintained a zero euthanasia rate for space, behavior, or temperament. While adhering to a strict no-kill policy, our team works very hard to ensure that each animal receives a chance at well-being, no matter what condition we find them in.
